Vogel Drafting Inc provides Builders, Architects, and Homeowners with high-quality construction documents. With fourteen years experience between drafting/building and hiring talented drafters, we have developed very detailed drawings that are easy to use and take most of the guess work out of the building process. We specialize in Custom Homes, Production Homes, and Additions and offer 3 different drawing packages to choose from to fit your specific needs:

Building Envelope Calculations (required by some counties in Virginia).
We can hire a sub-contractor to do this work if you cannot find an engineer.

Mechanical Drawings and HVAC specifications
(must be done by Licensed Mechanical Contractor)

Plumbing Drawings
(must be done by a Licensed Plumbing Contractor)

Pre-Engineered Floor Systems or Roof Trusses
(must be designed by the manufacturer)

Adding options or additions to existing plans or structures.

Vogel Drafting does not handle:

Plan Submission & Blueprinting

Site specific adjustments or code updates to existing plans.

This is the most complete set we offer. Perfect for any carpenter to build from with all problems (including design, structural, and code) worked out before the final draft is submitted. This package is available for both Custom & Production (more than 1 Elevation offered) homes & includes: 1 full scale set (24" x 36") of Vellums containing Floor Plans, Elevations, Sections, Electrical, Floor & Roof Framing, Details, & Engineering. We will also correct errors on the plans free of charge if the County rejects them.

This is a typical set of plans mostly used by production builders. The contractor usually has a truss/ joist manufacturer supply the floor framing & engineering. This package is available for both Custom & Production (more than 1 Elevation offered) homes & includes: 1 full scale set (24" x 36") of Vellums containing Floor Plans, Elevations, Sections, Electrical, Details, & minimal Engineering (on Basement steel only). We will also correct errors on the plans free of charge if the County rejects them.

This is a very basic set created in brochure format that can be taken to a Builder for a cost estimate. Vogel Drafting can then complete the set or the Builder may have an in-house designer available. This set includes: Floor Plans and Elevations
